Lindblom or another rookie on the defense isn't going to fix this bunch.

I blame them all really, players and coaching included. Harder and harder to defend G.

I would scratch G first, then V next. Don't care they're leading in points.

He doesn't have the balls to bench either for a period. Multiple times this year it was warranted and could have really sent a message

Instead you will see Konecny sitting another game... Woo.

For what it's worth id sit Coots or Schenn before one of those two. G and Jake show up once in a while where is the secondary help? The team expected more imo from Brayden and Sean. There is no fallback to G and V.

To be fair, most of the Canes' shots were just inflating Corsi shots from the point. And the Flyers 6 shots or however many they had were of really high quality. It's games like this where the shots don't tell the whole story.

I read that the flyers had 2 shots from forwards like halfway into the 3rd.

(frank)ing awful game to watch
- 2Real

i watched only 2 periods. with under 5 to go in the second they killed the penalty and i thought MAYBE they could come back. but then they lose the draw after a hurricane icing for a ridiculous backbreaking goal. then captain wonderful decides to get into the game and take a stupid penalty for which they promptly surrendered another goal.

now i know there should have been a major against stempniak, and if so, maybe they can turn the tide there, but there wasn't. and there should have been a penalty that preceded the 3rd goal against skinner, but there wasn't. officiating can't be blamed for the putrid piece of poop they put on the ice. 6 shots through 2 periods. 6. (frank)ing embarrassing poop bags.

maybe G could hit the net from 15 feet point blank instead of blowing it 3 feet wide. nah. he'd rather make a horrendous turnover at the blueline, glide back into no man's land, and ignore the goal scorer on a give and go for the goal against. then takes a crybaby penalty that turns the game into 4-0.

maybe V could stop turning the puck between the line and the top of the circle on every single (frank)ing play into the o zone. maybe.

maybe they could keep the play going north in the d zone, instead of constantly going south and east and west unnecessarily. nah. self inflicted wounds as a result of poor play in their own end.

lather. rinse. repeat.

i feel for the goalies. i really do.

"After a cursory practice", hmm, the way this team comes out after a break, may I suggest bag skates instead of cursory practices? The lack of energy, push back and work ethic routinely shown by this team is extremely troubling and reflects poorly on all facets of the organization, management, coaches and players.

The Canes were coming off the same break, but somehow they managed to not only show up, but to come out with a sense of purpose and determination. The Flyers lack heart, guts and balls, and I'm really getting tired of it. To come out with this pathetic lack of effort against a division opponent who is challenging you for the last playoff spot is jus sad.

I give the rookies a pass, the rest of the team, coaches and management can go (frank) themselves. They should be ashamed of themselves for that "effort" last night

The goalies are the least of my worries, this team is a mess. I can only imagine how Ed Snider would have reacted to this kind of effort

Three consistent things

G not producing
Coots not producing
Jake roars up the ice and does nothing

Can handle one of those but not all 3

Oh they are a very consistent team, that's for sure
AMac consistently makes bad turnovers
Ghost consistently misses the net
The entire D is consistently soft
VdV consistently skates up & down his wing doing nothing
Hak consistently looks like a robot
The forwards consistently blow their defensive assignments
Raffl and Read look consistently useless

We are going to be consistently disappointed for the next 10 weeks.

G is invisible when not on the power play. I'm guessing it must be the system requirement, but at one point I recall Jake behind the net with possession trying to move the puck looking for someone to pass it to....and G was out at the blueline in the middle with both defensemen also out at the blueline. No aggressiveness whatsoever.

Coots also not aggressive. Is it against Hacks gameplan for centers to go to the net?

Jake....see paragraph 1 and 2.

Last night was an embarrassment.

If they want to play a 90s Devils style because Hak thinks it's their best chance to win, fine go for it. The problem is the constant boneheaded hockey 101 mistakes that this team constantly makes. With their apparent lack of attention to detail and inability to deliver a hard working 60 minute effort, style of play becomes irrelevant
